How to Play Centurion Free Slot?
This is a five-reel machine, with 3 symbols per row. It has 20 fixed lines which reward from left to right. Total bet can be chosen between 0.20 and 250 credits, which are distributed on the playing lines, and it can be changed anytime during the game.
The total balance available for wagering is shown above the reels and the total win per round below the table, in the middle. By pressing the “spin” button the gamble starts.
Centurion Slot Machine Game Special Symbols and Jackpot
There are 9 regular and 2 special symbols in total. The highest paying icon is the slot logo. All symbols pay if there are at least 3 of them matching on the winning line, except for the logo sign, which gives for at least 2 matching cards.
- Wild – substitutes for all other cards, except the extra card. It can be placed anywhere on the reels. One wild token can be calculated for more than 1 token on the reels.
- Bonus – when 3 of these signs appear anywhere on the reels another addition is awarded.
Bonus Games and Special Features
When the bonus feature wheel is triggered, the player is asked to spin it in order to select a feature. There are 4 of them available.
- Prizes on Parade – win a cash prize by pressing the stop button and landing on a field with a multiplier. Depending on the field that is selected upon pressing stop, the winnings can be different. When landing on the arrow you can advance to the next level. The feature ends if you stop on the field which has “collect” written bellow the prize. The wins are accumulated and are paid after the extra mode ends.
- Road to Rome – by rolling the dice one can move around the board. The dice show the direction and the number of steps. If landing on a multiplier, the total bet will be multiplied by the number you landed on. The number of rolls is limited, but can be increased during the game, by stopping on the dice sign. When reaching the end of the board, the player enters the big money which awards the large cash prizes, including the jackpot, if playing with max bet. All wins are paid at the end of this extra mode.
- Wild Power Spins – in this addition 3 wild power are awarded. In the first roll a block of this special icons is placed in the sequence 2, in the second blocks are placed in the rows 2 and 3 and in the last roll on the reels 2, 3 and 4. If there are the same symbols on the first and last row, the player is awarded the highest prize of that card. The wins are calculated after each spin with the wild signs and accumulate till the end of the extra round. All winning combinations on the active lines are paid.
- Caesars Free Rolls – when entering the extra mode a player must turn 2 reels. One which determines the number of free rounds and the other one with the multiplier. The maximal number of spins to be awarded is 20, and the highest multiplier is 10. The free rounds are played by the stake chosen in the base mode, with the standard sequences and all 20 paylines. The feature ends when there are no more free rounds left and all gainings are obtained at once.
This slot machine also has sequence modifiers. It is a special feature that is triggered every time a Roman trumpet appears on the screen from behind a bush. There is no particular rule when it will show up, nor there an exact number of times.
- Reelus Maximus – when activated, 3 of 5 columns merge in one extra-large row with 1 icon only on the display after the spinning stops. This gives the opportunity to get across all 20 paylines. If the cards on the extra-large and the remaining 2 rows are matching, the payout will be calculated as for five matching cards on an active paying line.
- Super Bonus Reels – if this addition is triggered, the chance to entry an additional round is increased, considering the frequent appearance of gratis tokens.
- Five Of A Kind Wins – if there are 5 of a kind signs anywhere on the table, it results in winning a cash prize, and the amount depends on the given card that appears 5 times on the screen. If there is a wild symbol, it will substitute for more than one signs if possible.
Autoplay
Free online Centurion slot machine has an autoplay option that can be activated for 10, 20, 30 and 40 rounds to be played automatically. One can also select the “until bonus” option, and in that case, it will stop when entering the bonus. An entertaining game with bits of adventure elements (for example, at some point you'll get to meet Cleopatra and try to-- erm-- win her favor), this game is reminiscent of the old Cinemaware classic Defender of the Crown for its strong emphasis on fun over historical realism. (Not surprisingly, since it's designed by the same designer, ex-Cinemaware Kellyn Beck).
As official of the Roman Empire, you must manage armies, calm rebellious citizens, and conquer neighboring countries. Rome wasn't built in a day, but win enough chariot races, and you might be able to do it in a matter of weeks ;) Two thumbs up!

First-time player here, and in 2021 no less. I have to say, this is fun and charming little game. If you're into strategy games I'd say give this a try. It's like a distant ancestor of Rome: Total War. 5/5.

I used to spend way too much time playing this game on the Amiga. I tried to attack an enemy army that were riding elephants instead of horses! Note: The last ADF in the archive (Teacher/Centurion disk #2 has a checksum error on the file: race.cat). The other versions are ok).

3. the third reference is 'Gaul was divided into three parts... No, four parts. One indomitable village still held out against the Roman invaders', like the story of Asterix and Obelix!!!!
Did anybody ever manage to let such sentence appear? I tried thousands of times with alliances, rebellions, re-conquests etc., but no success with those Gauls.....
